The Beginning

So here’s the thing. There’s me. And there is Oliver. I’m currently living and working in one of the major airline company in Kota Kinabalu. More about that later. Oliver, on the other hand, is currently doing his PhD and working at the same time in Kaiserslautern, Germany. A place I recently got acquainted with. Not quite enough but again, more about that too.

Five years or more. That’s how long we’ve been together. Most part of it was spent together being apart. It’s tough. But the great thing about it is we’re still here. Together. And for now, that is all that matters.

So back to me working with the airline company. I joined the airline company in February 2008. And the coolest perk working with the airline company is I am entitled to one free ticket each year to any destinations we fly to. And if I do use up my free ticket, I still have discounts for other flights, domestic and international.

So, what do you know, as soon as I was entitled for my free ticket (I had to work for a year to redeem my free ticket) I booked a return ticket to Frankfurt, Germany.

The initial plan was to visit London and Germany, but somehow, we decided to visit Belgium as well.

So, we did. And it was the most amazing two weeks ever. Which is why, we’ve decided to write about it. Sort of like a travel journal. I’ll write and he’ll photograph. Either way.

Anyway, I’m still in amidst of drafting for my next entry which is my first unfortunate day in Europe. But sweat not. That first day turned out pretty well in the end and that unfortunate day was the beginning to many wonderful days discovering the most beautiful cities and meeting the nicest people. Oliver, well, he is editing pictures and it’s going to take some time because we took like two thousand pictures or more.

So, till the next entry.

Cheers!
